Situated  at the northern end of Cardigan Bay, Criccieth faces south and the hours of sunshine recorded here equals the record of Devon and Cornwall.  Generally the summers are warm and winters mild.

Criccieth itself hosts numerous tea shops serving freshly prepared cakes and local specialities.  In addition there are multiple restaurants for every taste and the town is only 10 minutes from the world famous Portmeirion Italiante village which hosts two fabulous A La Carte restaurants and Pwllheli which hosts a Hotel boasting the only restaurant with a Michelin star in the UK outside London.
